About the Artist

Janette Baker studied Graphic Design in Sydney in 2006 and has worked in magazines, marketing and ran her own eCommerce businesses My Sweet Prints and Wallstudio - both selling graphic wall art prints and canvases.

Over the last few years, Janette has returned back to her lifelong passion of painting. Acrylics on Canvas and Watercolour are her preferred mediums and Janette has exhibited and been a finalist in many group exhibitions in NSW and VIC.

Janette’s love of nature, the Australian bush and the simple beauty of flowers can be seen in her work. Believing that creativity has the power to heal, give life and joy, Janette longs to inspire others to embrace creativity.

Studio Philosophy

Janette paints predominantly on Guringai and Darkinjung land. Janette’s studio is a space of slow creativity — a place where intention matters more than perfection, and where art is made to be felt as much as seen. Janette believes in creating with softness, choosing simplicity, and honouring the quiet moments that shape us. Every piece is crafted to bring beauty, meaning, and emotional connection into your everyday life.
